First of all, Happy New Year! 2022 went by so fast and 2023 is here.

Yesterday, Mocha got her first real haircut, at 6 months old. We asked them to trim the hair to half of the previous length. They gave her a little bit of a poodle look. It’s kinda amazing how large her eyes look.

The last one was a puppy haircut at about 4.5 months old. It’s been 2 months, and she was pretty shaggy already. But we wanted to wait until we were past our trip to the wintry midwest. To read how we prep for her flight, read here.

In other news, she’s getting spayed tomorrow. We’re responsible dog owners and we knew this would need to be done. As she’s a smaller breed dog, it’s rather easy for us to decide to do it sooner than later. We are going with the surgical suit instead of the cone. I hope she’ll recover well.
